One of the problems with 110 prints is that then tended to be grainy and a high contrast because of the bulk processing methods. So to find out how good the camera performed the negatives have been profesionally scanned and reproduced here. Here are two sample scanned negatives from the Pentax 110 SLR shot on Kodak Gold 110, 400 ISO. The scanner used is the Nikon CoolScan 9000 ED scanning at 3,000 dpi. The images are then ran through an after-market grain reduction filter (Kodak ADC ROC Professional) in Adobe Photoshop. The scanned image quality is impressive. The two shown below are vastly reduced in quality for speed to load this page but you can download the actual files in a JPG of around 1Mb or a TIF file which is around 6Mb by clicking on the link below the image.
